Brand-level Trustpilot reviews (mostly model not named) and AquaTru's own Yotpo reviews for the Classic repeatedly report units failing, leaking or slowing within months (often scale in hard water, needing descaling and early RO filter swaps), filters not lasting their rated life, and slow or unhelpful customer service on warranty, refund and shipping issues.

AquaTru is part of Ideal Living ('As part of the Ideal Living family of socially and environmentally responsible brands', AquaTru Our Story page). aquatruwater.com 301-redirects to aquatru.com; the Trustpilot profile is aquatru.com. $475 is the plain price (no compare-at) despite a site-wide 'Sale-On-Sale' banner. The product-page FAQ gives Carafe-like specs (13 x 14 x 7.5 in, 9 lb, 0.5 gal clean tank, 64 oz carafe) that contradict the Classic spec block (12 x 14 x 14 in, 17 lb, 0.75 gal); the FAQ looks stale. PDS: 80% recovery, 75% efficiency. Hardness limit of 10 gpg matters for hard well water. Same filters fit the AquaTru Under Sink (ATU100, from $395), which holds the same IAPMO standards. No recall found.
