Owner reports

On-site reviews (851, avg 4.5/5; 63 at 1-2 stars) and Trustpilot repeatedly report water pressure dropping within 1-2 years despite filter changes, leaks at the plastic fittings and housings (occasionally a cracked tank), carbon fines in the water after install, and install kits missing parts such as PEX. Several owners also say it only removes chlorine despite the broader contaminant list shown on the page.

Rhino, Rhino Max Flow, Rhino Chloramines and the salt-free conditioner pages all show a 'List of Contaminants' block ('Our patented Claryum technology reduces 78 contaminants', incl. lead, cysts and PFOA & PFOS) copied from Aquasana's drinking-water filters; the Rhino Performance Data Sheet says 'All contaminants reduced by this filter are listed' and lists only chlorine. Legacy EQ-1000 and EQ-600 (600,000 gal/6 yr) systems are no longer sold; only replacement tanks remain (EQ-1000R $949, EQ-600R $713.90). No 'Rhino PFAS' variant exists.
