Chosen instead of Alfaa UV: alfaauv.com is India's Ace Hygiene Products with no US-priced whole-house model. This is the genuinely NSF-listed Class B version; the standard LB5-101 ($764.01 at ESP, 11 gpm at 30 mJ/cm2) is only CSA B483.1 listed with no disinfection claim. Class B rating is 13 gpm at 16 mJ/cm2 and 70% UVT held by an integral flow restrictor; Class B is for water already safe to drink, not untreated or contaminated wells. Luminor's NSF Class A options at ESP: LBH6-251A $1,928.72, LBH6-401A $2,535.29. Luminor's Class B brochure (blackcomb-nsf-b.pdf) mistakenly carries the Class A statement 'This Class A system conforms to NSF/ANSI 55 for the disinfection of microbiologically contaminated water'; the manual's Class B section uses the correct Class B wording. Lamps pair with an encrypted lamp key, so only genuine Luminor lamps work. Manual: 'We recommend that a licensed plumber or certified technician install the system.' Specs: 10-150 psi, 36-104 F (ESP page says up to 149 F), 90-265 V, 49 W. Price from ESP Water (no compare-at, listed 2026-09-22); Luminor's site has no store. No Luminor affiliate program or Trustpilot profile found; no owner reviews found for this model.
